Welcome to Personal Protection USA!

Are stun guns really effective?

The video below shows a guy asking to be stunned and trying to be macho, but... Watch it and have a good laugh!

Stun guns are a great means of non-lethal self-defense against both human and animal attacks. They are high-voltage, but low amperage so as not to be lethal. PersonalProtection-USA offers many styles and colors, and many features such as flashlight, siren, flashing red light, wrist strap disable pin, concealable, disguised, fashion colors/patterns, hard and soft holsters, rechargeable, telescopic baton, knuckle-buster, aircraft-grade aluminum, and much more.

StunMaster® stun Guns all come with a lifetime warranty.

Stun guns are generally legal to carry open or concealed in all but a handful of states/locales. Click here for a list of places to which we cannot ship.

Q. How does a stun gun work?

A. It causes the muscles to contract and relax alternately, making the glucose spent using that energy be replaced with lactic acid. If the stun gun "fires" 50 times in one second, the net effect when applied to the abdomen would be similar to doing 50 sit-ups in one second. The result is pain and fatigue. That is why you want to go for the large muscle groups when defending yourself from an attacker. The abdomen is the best, most obvious place, but also imagine the most painful places, like the neck or crotch. 20 Million Volts to the nuts will definately drop any man. Also, you want to keep the electricity applied to the body for a MINIMUM of 10 seconds if you can do it. The attacker should be so worn out by then that you should have about 30 seconds to run clear. It may not sould like a lot of time, but you know those annoying ads before a podcast or video you want to see? They last on average 30 seconds which seem to take FOR-EVAR to finish! It really is a long time in such a situation. If you can run a 4-minute mile, 30 seconds will place 110 yards between you and your attacker—that's longer than a football field! Think about that!
